This steampunk car project was very fun. I learned how to do many new things and I also re-enforced many ideas of how to use Photoshop efficiently. One new thing that I learned during this project was how to make objects reflect off of other objects. For example, on my car I learned how to make it look like the ground was reflecting off the bottom of the car and clouds reflecting of the top. I did this by coping the background, free transforming it to go over the car, and then changing the opacity to make it look like a reflection instead of a solid object. I also learned more techniques on how to not use destructive editing. An example of this is to add layers to a group instead of merging layers together.
Below is the steampunk car of my friends Audi. I used the same steps but with a different car.
